Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix

Ingredients:

2 C Non-Fat Milk Powder
1 C Granulated White Sugar
1/2 C Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1/4 t Salt

Directions:

Whisk all ingredients together and store in an air-tight container.

When ready to enjoy, stir 1/4 C mix into 1 C of boiling water.

Irish Coffee

Ingredients:

1 C Freshly Brewed Hot Coffee
1/2 T Agave or 1 T Brown Sugar
1-2 T Irish Whiskey (or bourbon)
1-2 T Heavy Cream

Directions:

Pout hot coffee into mug, stir in agave or sugar, stir in whiskey. Pour heavy cream on top. Do not stir. Enjoy!

Homemade Electrolyte Drink

Ingredients:

5 C Water or Herbal Tea
1/2 C Lemon or Lime Juice (or a combination)
1/2 t Potassium Chloride
1/4 t Pink Himalayan Salt
2 T Natural Calm Magnesium Supplement
Stevia, to taste (optional)

Directions:

Combine all ingredients together and stir until all crystals have dissolved.

Serve 1 cup over ice up to twice daily. If stomach discomfort occurs then have with meals.

Instant Golden Milk (Turmeric Tea)

Ingredients:

For Dry Mix:
1/2 C Organic Ground Turmeric 
1/4 C Organic Ground Cinnamon
2 t Organic Ground Black Pepper
1 1/2 T Organic Ground Ginger

For Golden Milk:
1 C Warmed Milk
1/2 t Honey or Maple Syrup, optional 
1/2 t Coconut Oil, optional (must add if using non-fat milk)

Directions:

In a medium-size jar, stir together dry ingredients. Store in a cool, dark place. 

When ready for golden milk, add 1 t dry mix to 1 C warmed milk. Stir in sweetener and coconut oil, if desired.

Vanilla Coffee Creamer

Ingredients:

1 t Vanilla Extract
Half-and-half (optional)

Directions:

Combine ingredients together. Dilute with half-and-half to desired sweetness. Store in refrigerator.

Homemade Hot Cocoa

Ingredients:

1/2 C Sugar
1/3 C Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1/8 t Ground Cinnamon
Pinch Salt
1/3 C Boiling Water
3 C Whole Milk
1 C Half-and-half
3/4 t Vanilla Extract
Whipped Cream or Marshmallows, optional

Directions:

In a large saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa, cinnamon and salt. 

Stir in boiling water. Whisk until sugar is dissolved. 

Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat, stirring constantly for about two minutes. 

Stir in milk and half. Cook and stir until just hot. 

Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. 

Serve topped with whipped cream or marshmallows!

Yield: 3 Servings

Citrus Green Iced Tea

Ingredients:

4 C Water
2 Green Tea Bags
1/3 C Sugar
1 T Lime Juice
1/4 t Orange Extract

Directions:

Pour 4 cups boiling water over green tea bags. Let steep for 20 minutes. 

Remove tea bags and stir in sugar. 

Stir in lime juice and orange extract. 

Refrigerate until chilled before serving.

Aloha Punch

Ingredients:

1/4 C Lemon Juice
1 C Orange Juice
3/4 C Grenadine Syrup or Cherry Juice
46 oz Pineapple Juice
2 Liters 7-up or Sprite

Directions:

Add all ingredients in given order to large punch bowl. Stir to combine. 

Serve immediately over ice. 

Yield: 24 6-ounce Servings

Lacto-Fermented Fruit Soda

Ingredients:

4 C Organic Pure Fruit Juice
2 T Whey
Pinch of non-iodized salt

Directions:

Mix all ingredients into a wire-top Fido bottle. 

Set top on but don't seal. Leave at room temperature for 72 hours to ferment. 

Seal top and leave for another 24 hours to naturally carbonate. 

Place in refrigerator and wait 24 hour before opening and serving. 

Enjoy!

Yield: 4 Servings

Lacto-Fermented Probiotic Lemonade

Ingredients:

1/2 C Lemon juice
1/2 C Whey (liquid)
1/2 C Sugar
6 1/2 C Water

Directions:

Thoroughly mix together lemon juice, whey and sugar. 

Pour into a 1/2 gallon glass jar with lid or pitcher with tight-fitting lid and fill remainder with water. 

Shake well. 

Let stand at room temperature 48 hours (burping once after 24 hours) and then refrigerate. 

Variations:

Limeade: Replace lemon juice with lime juice. Add an additional 2 T of sugar. 

Lemon-Limeade: Replace 1/2 of the lemon juice with lime juice and add an additional 1 T of sugar. 

Grapefruitade: Replace lemon juice with 1 C of grapefruit juice.

Kefir Water Flavors

Note: After the initial ferment, strain off water kefir grains. Do a second ferment at room temperature for 24-48 hours, burping after each 24 hour period. Chill before serving. 

Blueberry-Lemonade:

1 qt Water Kefir
1 T Fresh Lemon juice
8 Frozen or fresh blueberries

Cherry-Limeade:

1 qt Water Kefir 
1 T Lime juice
1 t Lemon juice
6 Fresh or frozen cherries, pitted

Sparkling Raspberry:

1 qt Water Kefir
1 T Lemon juice
10 Fresh or Frozen Raspberries 

Raspberry-Limeade:

1 qt Water Kefir
1 T Lime juice
10 Fresh or Frozen Raspberries 

Probiotic Green Tea:

1 qt Water Kefir
1 Green tea bag (any flavor you desire, fruity flavors are very good)

Probiotic Lemonade:

1 qt Water Kefir
1/4 of Fresh lemon, cut into thin slivers
1 T Sugar, added right before serving

Thai Iced Tea

Ingredients:

1 qt Water
1 Star anise, smashed
1 Inch Vanilla bean, chopped
6 Whole cloves
1/2 Stick cinnamon, smashed
1 t Orange peel
2 T English breakfast black tea leaves
1/2 C Honey
1 C Half and half, divided

Directions:

In a large pot, combine spices, tea, and water. Bring to a boil. 

Boil, stirring occasionally, for five minutes. 

Remove from heat. 

Stir in honey. 

Allow mixture to cool to room temperature. 

Strain using a Thai tea filter or colander lined with a coffee filter or fine wire mesh. 

(Can be refrigerated overnight at this point.)

Pour into glasses over generous amount of ice. Gently drizzle 1/4 C half and half on top of each serving. 

Yield: 4 Servings

Tip: If making the mix in bulk, use 3T of mix for one batch of tea.

Cranberry Punch

Ingredients:

4 C Cranberry juice
1 1/2 C Sugar
4 C Pineapple juice
1 T Almond extract
2 qt Ginger Ale

Directions:

Combine first four ingredients and stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Chill. 

Add Ginger Ale just before serving. Add ice to keep cold. 

Optional: Add orange slices and fresh cranberries!
