Sweet Cornbread

Ingredients:

1 ¼ Cups flour
¾ Cup corn meal
¼ Cup sugar
2 Teaspoon baking powder
½ Teaspoon salt
1 Cup milk
¼ Cup vegetable oil
1 large egg, beaten

Directions:

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease an 8 or 9 inch baking pan. 

Combine dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.

Stir in milk, oil, and egg, mixing just until dry ingredients are moistened.

Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and wooden toothpick comes out clean.

Serve warm.
